| About Me |
Hey Twitterer, thanks for checkin out my netnest.
I wear a bunch of hats, it seems. I'm a partner at CivicActions, LLC, an internet consulting firm serving non-profits. I'm also a musician (as you can probably tell from the rest of my site). I took a hiaitus from technology after 9/11 to find a more meaningful life than developing marketing strategies for network storage solutions providers and enterprise best-of-breed software blah blah blah...
I've been writing and singing songs since January 1st, 2004 when I was struck by (metaphorical) lightning and realized that "meaningful life" looked like making music. So I started writing and rehearsing and performing, which has lead to a series of incredible experiences that still kinda blow me away when I think about it.
I'm incredibly excited about the emerging properties of the web. I love how it connects, how quickly information moves and how increasingly influential it is becoming. History will certainly view the emergence of the Internet with a dot a few hundred years to the right of the Renaissance and the printing press. It feels great to be supporting a team of technologists and a network of clients who are using technology to make a real difference in the world.
Here's a link to my first music project, "(Didn't Know I Was) Unamerican" (2004)
And my latest: "What Kind of Amazing Grace?" (2008)
And ask for a free
bumper sticker. 2 sizes - laptop and Electric Vehicle-sized.
