"(Didn't Know I Was) Unamerican" "(I Know Why You're) Semper Fi" "Missing" (youtube) "The Ballad of Robert John" (youtube) "Unexpected Turns" (youtube) "It's alright" live at the Fillmore

My first recording and first video. This one was picked up by TrueMajority and prompted two Democratic presidential campaigns to invite me to perform in 2004. Click to see the full res version

A song and video inspired by my sister, an active duty, 19 year veteran of the USMC. "Semper Fi" is the Marine Corps motto and it means "Always Faithful".

"Missing" is Part I of the Missing Suite, a suite of songs about missing persons. Three cases have touched close friends of mine. "Missing" was originally inspired by the former owner of the guitar I'm playing, whose story is told in part II of the Suite and by the story of Jerry Tang, a San Francisco resident. With the recent Kim Family tragedy, the song has come to stand for all missing persons.

"The Ballad of Robert John" - Part II of the Missing Suite. The song tells a tragic and true story that played out in the wintery backroads of Oregon in 2002.
"Unexpected Turns" is Part III of the Missing Suite. History sadly repeats itself. This time as the Kim family disappears for over a week, trapped on a rural Oregon road.
Opening for the Tower of Power at the Fillmore. First song of the set.
